No Bake Snack Mix
In a microwavable bowl, toss 3 cups of cereal
2 cups popped popcorn
1 cup small pretzels
1/2 cup peanuts
mix 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. seasoned salt
until well blended. Drizzle evenly over cereal mixture, toss to coat.
Microwave on high 2 -3 minutes until cereal is crisp, stirring after 2 minutes.
Makes 14 (1/2 cup) servings.
Mini Pizzas
4 bagels or English muffins, cut in half, toasted
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 pkg. 8oz. mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
24 slices pepperoni
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread toasted bagel halves with pizza sauce. Line cookie sheet
with aluminum foil. Place halves on cookie sheet. Top with cheeses and pepperoni. Bake 8 - 10
minutes or until cheese is melted.
Cheesy Pigs in a Blanket
6 pkg. 1oz. string cheese
8 hot dogs
1 pkg. 8oz. refrigerated crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut string cheese into quarters. Cut
lengthwise pockets in each hot dog to
within 1/2" of the ends. Insert 3 string
cheese pieces in each pocket. Separate
crescent roll dough into triangles, wrap 1
triangle around each hot dog. Place cheese
side up on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12 minutes until golden brown.
Homemade Lemonade
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1 finely grated lemon peel
In a saucepan bring to a boil the sugar, water,
and lemon peel. Boil for 5 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let
cool. Squeeze 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice and
add it to the cooled sugar water. When
ready to serve, put 2 ice cubes in a glass,
and pour in 1/4 cup of lemonade. Add 3/4
cup of water and stir. Float a lemon slice
on top. Makes 14 glasses.
Homemade Energy Bars
1 egg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup granola
1/2 cup raisins (or any chopped dried fruit)
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 small pkg. M&Ms chocolate candies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an
8"x8" square pan. Beat the egg and then add
the sugar and vanilla and mix well.
Stir in the granola, raisins, nuts, and M&Ms
and mix well until combined. Transfer to
the pan and spread evenly, pressing firmly
with your hands. Bake for 25 minutes.
