Paint rock however you want
(a solid color works best). With a
permanent marker write "GOOD JOBâ€
on the rock. Use as a desk paperweight.

Photo Book – Grandparents Day Â
Materials :
Cardboard
Fabric or Scrapbooking paper
2 sheets regular white paper
Ribbon
Cut out two 5"x 5" cardboard squares. Cut out
two 5 ½â€Â x 5 ½â€Â pieces of fabric (or decorative paper). Glue
a square of fabric to each cardboard piece, fold over edges, and glue down. Fold each sheet of
white paper in fourths – accordion style. Tape pieces together. Cut 2 pieces of ribbon about
8" long. Glue one piece of ribbon to the inside edge of each piece of cardboard. Then glue
each end of the paper accordion to the inside of the cardboard pieces. With acid-free glue, mount
pictures inside of each page. Close book and tie ribbons together to make a bow. (Give to
Grandma and/or Grandpa as a present.)
Whirlygig – Rosh Hashanah – Jewish New Year Â
Materials :
2 Plastic pop bottles (16 to 24-ounce size)
Permanent markers
Masking tape
Wire or wire coat hanger
Pliers
Nail
Candle
Scissors
Remove wrappers from the bottles. Cut the tops off of the bottles. Draw 8 lines down the
sides of the bottom of bottles. Cut along lines Leaving an inch at the bottom. Heat the end of the nail
over a lit candle. Poke hole in the center of the bottom of the bottle with the hot end of the nail. Bend
back strips on the bottle to form blades. Put the wire through the hole in the bottom of the bottle and wrap it with
tape at each end. Time to whirl !!!
