Now That The Holiday's Are Over

CUBMASTER: Well now that the holidays are over and our lives are getting back into their regular routine, let's take just a moment to think about life in America.

Do you Cub Scouts realize how lucky we are to be able to have enough food to eat? To be able to go to school? To be able to attend any church we wish? To be able to get in the car with our families and go where we wish to go?

There are some countries where people don't have the right to do these and many other things that we automatically take for granted. While we're so wrapped up in holiday excitement, we often take our lives for granted without realizing that our country is indeed the "land of opportunity" and we are so fortunate to be living in the United States of America.

Let's each make a personal resolution to thank God every day for the many advantages we have in our lives.

Will the audience please rise as Den ___ presents the colors. (Den brings in flag(s) and posts. Have the audience now join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
