I was never a member of the Order of the Arrow as a youth member of the Boy Scouts. I did become one after I became a scoutmaster. I became an Ordeal member after attending a conclave with two Boy Scouts of Troop 68 in (I think) 1986. A few years later I became a Brotherhood member. I have only been active with the Naguonabe Lodge of the Order of the Arrow when the Scouts of Troop 68 have been active. After all, this is a youth organization where adults act as advisors so I seldom went ......Â

Since then, an entire generation of Scouts has moved on, “Scout†has been added as a seventh rank, and we now have girls in Scouts BSA troops. It’s time for an update. For any Scout interested in advancement through the Scout ranks, this is for you! Today, by the time most Scouts earn their Eagle, they’re 17 years old. Many are so close to their 18th birthdays that they never get to wear the Eagle badge on their uniforms. This doesn’t have to happen. ......Â
Although it might still feel like summer in some places, most units are looking forward to traditional fall activities. That means it’s time for Show and Tell, where Scouters show their favorite photos and tell the story behind them. This time, we’d like to reflect on your summer adventures.
