Two Councils Consolidated

 I have been asked many times to share more Scouting news related items. So when I came across this article about Two Boy Scout Councils merging I thought I would share it with you.

 

The voting members of both the Southeast Wisconsin Council and the Milwaukee County Council agreed to consolidate into a new entity, and the name of the new council will be Three Harbors Council. Pretty good name selection since all three major cities were major ports on Lake Michigan at one time. For now the representative image of the new council will be the three different lighthouses of each harbor. A representation of the logo is available at www.betterstrongerscouting.info. That has some potential for the CSP design. Effective date of the consolidation is October 1, 2011. Below is the press release just unveiled.
