The rose is like a picture that speaks a thousand words. In the face of the rose, the heart of God is revealed. Within it you see love, tenderness, kindness, and thoughtfulness.
I would like to ask all the mothers of an Eagle Scout to please stand. Our troop’s new Eagle Scout, _______________, assisted by Eagle Scout __________________will now present you with a rose, symbolizing Scouting’s continued gratitude to you for all you did in helping your sons attain the rank of Eagle Scout.
As the roses are presented, music usually plays in the background. The popular choice? “The Rose” by Bette Midler, of course.
