Greetings from Jack!
All of us here at Wacky Eagle Technologies and Wacky Scouter wish you a warm and happy Thanksgiving! Remember, enjoy the feast, but try not to overindulge. Save room for gratitude, too!
My daddy loves hosting Thanksgiving. He whips up a feast so big it makes my nose drool for days while he preps. He always cooks extra to make homemade individual TV dinners from the leftovers. I call it pure genius, well if he would share them with me!
So, what are you grateful for? As for me, I’m thankful for my cozy den with Daddy, a bowl full of kibble, a water pond (bowl) that never freezes, tasty treats, and, of course, lots and lots of belly scratches. Now that’s what I call the good life!

Scoutmaster Minute: The Power of Gratitude
Scouts, as we gather here today, let’s take a moment to think about the power of gratitude. It’s easy to get caught up in the rush of everyday life—earning merit badges, planning campouts, or tackling schoolwork. But gratitude isn’t just about saying “thank you” when someone hands you a plate of food or helps you with a task. It’s about recognizing the good things in your life and appreciating the people and experiences that make them possible.
Think about the Scout Law: being trustworthy, loyal, and kind all stem from an attitude of gratitude. When you’re thankful, you’re more likely to treat others with respect and to value their efforts. Gratitude connects us, strengthens our patrols, and makes our Scout troop more like a family.
Imagine for a moment the things in your life you’re grateful for—maybe it’s the chance to explore the outdoors, the friendships you’ve made here, or even the leaders who dedicate their time to help you grow. Now, take that feeling of appreciation and turn it into action. Write a note to someone who has helped you recently, offer a hand to a fellow Scout, or take a moment to thank a family member.
Gratitude isn’t just about words; it’s a mindset. When you face challenges, gratitude helps you focus on what you have instead of what you lack. It makes tough days easier and joyful days even brighter.
As we go into the week ahead, let’s practice living gratefully. Whether it’s a small gesture of thanks or a big effort to make someone’s day better, you’ll find that gratitude has the power to transform not just your life, but the lives of those around you.
So remember: gratitude isn’t just a nice idea. It’s an action we can take every day. Let’s make it part of our lives as Scouts.
Closing Thoughts from Jack
Well, Scouts, that’s a wrap for this week! Gratitude really is a superpower, isn’t it? I know I’m thankful for my cozy bed, my never-ending kibble supply, and of course, belly rubs from my favorite humans. Gratitude isn’t just for Thanksgiving—it’s something we can practice every day, whether it’s a wag of the tail, a heartfelt thanks, or lending a paw to someone who needs it.
