1 lb Beans, black; dried
6 c Water
12 oz Beer
1 ts Garlic powder
1 ts Salt
1 Cilantro, fresh; chopped
1 Sour cream
Sort beans and rinse thoroughly. Combine beans and water in a Dutch oven; let sit overnight. Bring bean mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours. Add beer, garlic powder, and salt to the bean mixture; stir well. Cook beans for an additional 30 minutes. Sprinkle cilantro over beans; serve with sour cream.
