CUB SCOUT SCRAPBOOK

Materials
¼” wood (9-½” x l2”)
2 brass hinges
Sandpaper
Acrylic Paint
Leather lacing

Cut the wood out for boys or have boys assist with adult supervision. Drill two holes for
fasteners. Sand edges smooth before painting. Have boys design and decorate covers as wanted.
Fasten hinges onto front pieces of cover. Use extending fasteners or leather lacing to hold scrap-
book together.

LEAF COLLECTION

Materials
Leaves
Cardboard
Heavy book
Glue
Inexpensive 3 Ring binder
Card Stock

Lay your leaves between layers of cardboard. Put a heavy book on top to press the leaves until
they are dry. Check on them once in a while to make sure they are ok. When completely dry,
mount them on pieces of cardstock that have holes punched in them. Place pages into your
binder. Another way to protect your leaves on the cardstock is to get plastic sleeves to slide the
cardstock into.

COLLECTOR’S PLATES

Materials:
Old magazines
Scissors
Paper plates, cardboard, wood circle, plastic, or play plates
Gold or silver string
Glue

Cut out pictures of collector’s plates found on many magazines. Glue these to the paper plates or
cardboard or wood circle. Then glue the string on the plate for a hanger.
