I was recently watching the Disney movie “The Mighty Ducks”. There is a seen in there where Gorden Bombay the coach is talking to his soon to be ex-boss.
“I remember something that my father once told me. A team is not a bunch of kids out to win, it is something you belong to, it is something you feel, it is something you have to earn,”
Think about those words for a moment. Think about the power of the statement.
What do your Scouts do to feel like they are part of something, to feel a since of loyalty and responsibility to their fellow scouts?
What do your Scouts do regardless if they are a Tiger Cub or an Eagle Scout to earn the right to be part of their team, their unit?
