Blue And Gold Cubs

 

EQUIPMENT: 4 candles (2 blue and 2 gold), candle holders, __ U.S. Flag. 5 Webelos Scouts or Den Chiefs, 4 cards (each bearing one letter of the word Cubs.)

Place candles in the candle holders on the table with a lettered card behind each one. At the proper time, the Webelos Scout lights his candle and reads his part. 

Behind the candles are the letters C-U-B-S.

1ST BOY: Friends, we welcome you to our Blue and Gold Banquet.

2ND BOY: C - stands for courtesy. A Cub Scout is courteous to his elders, his friends, his teachers, and especially his parents. He is courteous in all that he says and does.

3RD BOY: U - stands for unity. When a boy joins a pack, he becomes a member of a den. He works and plays with other boys. He learns to get along with other's.

4TH BOY: B - stands for bravery, The Cub Scout is courageous enough to stand up for what he thinks is right, honest, and fair, thereby making the world a better place in which to live.

5TH BOY: S - stands for service. When a Cub Scout learns to serve other's, God and his country, he helps spread good will.

1ST BOY: Now, will everyone rise and join in the pledge of allegiance?
